 Lucius Wainwright
« Result #1 on Mar 5, 2007, 9:40pm »

Name: Lucius Wainwright
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Species: Human/Warlock

Looks:
- Height: Approx. 6ft
- Build: Rather skinny but well toned.
- Hair: Dark brown, short but with a slight fringe at the front.
- Eyes: Dark brown.
- General appearance: Devilishly handsome, oozing with sex appeal

Personality: Lucius Wainwright is confident, clever, calculating, cold, rather suave at times, and extremely manipulative. He has a charming air about him upon first impression, but don’t be fooled… for what lies beneath is a very unpleasant dark heart.

Lucius hates betrayal, and is furious to the point of insanity when things don't go his way. He has a nervous twitch that becomes more evident when he is under stress.

Powers: Being a warlock, Lucius’s powers relate to heavy magic and witchcraft. He can do virtually anything; telepathy, telekinesis, creating magical energy bolts, potions making – the whole bit.

Strengths: Magic

Weaknesses: His loveless temperament – he might think that such an emotion is the true weakness, but in reality love only acts as a strength – he just has no idea how much of a strength it really is…

He’s also quite weak physically, and has to rely on his magic or potions as a booster, which can be something of a failing at times.

Class: n/a

Background: Lucius was born in Scotland, and was a warlock at birth, gaining his powers from his parents – his father was also a warlock, and his mother a witch. Sadly, they gave him up for adoption after he was born. His mother was quite young at the time, and just didn’t feel she was responsible enough to raise him.

Instead, he was brought up by foster parents, who found his “unique abilities” rather peculiar, therefore became quite strict with him. At the time Lucius had no idea of his true powers, nor did he know who his parents really were. He could never stand the way his foster family treated him, and as soon as he was old enough, he moved out and away from his old home town, eventually finding himself alone in the heart of London.

At only 18, he was rather inexperienced in the “real world”, but managed to find a job and a small flat to stay in nearby. His unstable and untrained powers took their toll, however, and he was forced to quit the job after a short time.

Struggling to pay his rent, he desperately tried to find money anywhere he could. A neighbour in the block of flats he was a part of seemed to hold the answer to his problems – drug dealing.

Lucius wasn’t so sure at first, but his powers seemed to aide him in evading law enforcers, and he was able to deliver drugs to people without hassle. He received quite a large cut of the profits, and soon the money came rolling in. He discovered he had a taste for it, and became deeper involved.

With the money came the chance for him to find out who his real parents were, and around the age of 20, he discovered the truth about his powers. He developed them more and more, reading up on witchcraft and spells, even voodoo, and anything magical he could lay his hands on.

While he never touched the drugs he dealt, the magic became his addiction, and he soon found he couldn’t get enough of it.

Lucius’s upbringing was partly to blame for his “off the rails” lifestyle. He had abandonment issues after finding out why his birth parents had “dumped” him, and was always held at arm’s length by other people in his life. He fell into a bad crowd with his drug dealing friends, the first people to ever accept him, however they were simply using him, and he knew that.

He felt that he had been treated unfairly and therefore had no reason to really care about anyone other than himself. All that mattered to him was money and the drug running. He became quite renown for his abilities in the business, eventually attracting the attention of a different kind of drug ring – one that was run by vampires, demons and all sorts of nasty creatures.

Misc. Info: Love isn’t particularly high on Lucius’s list of priorities. Money and magic take on the top roles. However he isn’t without lust and passion. In fact he has had many torrid affairs, with both men and women. He doesn’t seem overly picky. There just wasn’t any real love involved.

He’s never felt any need or want to “love”. It possibly stems back to the lack of compassion and empathy he had in life; he’s never experienced it from others, therefore hasn’t felt it for anyone else.

In the year 2010, the world went to war on itself. At the same time, the newly anointed King of Wales was fighting a battle within himself, a battle that would eventually break his soul in two. Unbeknownst to the rest of the royal family and the surrounding Kingdom of Wales, King Iowerth was a lycanthrope. By the light of the full moon he would undergo the torturous process of change, to become what the villagers had begun to fear as the embodiment of Lucifer himself. The madness of the change drove Iowerth to visit his sister, the Princess Gwenhwyfar, whilst he was changing into the creature that he so feared becoming. He was certain she was the only one who would be able to help him.

After witnessing the change, Gwen was only able to share a brief moment with her brother, or what was left of her brother, in his lycanthrope form. Iowerth fled her bedchamber in the fear he would cause her harm if he stayed any longer, as lycanthropes do not distinguish between friend or foe. As he fled her chamber, he was unaware of the royal guard who had witnessed him leaving. Mistaking Iowerth for Gwenhwyfar, the guard informed the High Council and Gwen was captured and sentenced to death by way of a silver bullet.

Enraged at the murder of his innocent sister, and even more furious at himself for putting her in that position, Iowerth flew into a rage and murdered most of the High Council, banishing the rest from the country and, in a moment of madness, ordered them to take the rest of the royals and civilians with them. To his surprise, a small band of villagers stayed behind – revealing themselves to have similar abilities and powers to his own.

And so, Wales became a refuge for those that were different. Iowerth was initially comforted by the knowledge that there were more like him, however his inner battle eventually drove him crazy, splitting his soul into two parts. The more normal part of his soul, still posessing the lycanthropic ability but without the merciless bloodlust, went on to create the city of Gwenhwy with a small band of followers. The other part of his soul, the dark and cunning side, created the city of Caer Taran, also with a small group of followers.

And so the two great cities were forged, separated by the sprawling Plains of Rhyfel. Whilst Rhyfel is the Welsh word for war, Caer Taran and Gwenhwy have never engaged in battle. They have no reason to, and are quite happy living at a distance while still looking down their noses at eachother. Tension does lie in the air and as always there have been individual scuffles, however war was never justified.

In late 2049, the war torn United Kingdom petitioned Wales, requesting permission to ship their convicts into the country due to the overcrowding of their jails. The councils of Caer Taran and Gwenhwy reluctantly pulled together and came to a decision, allowing the convicts to be shipped in.

And so we find ourselves in the year 2050, with the inhabitants of Wales learning how to deal with the human race. Some are eaten, some are frightened to death and some find themselves living amongst the things that go bump in the night…

Well, I guess I should get the ball rolling.

Shia's been in Gwenhwy for about a month now, and she's beginning to get a little bored. Read: she needs something to do before she goes completely loopy.

So! Who wants to play with Shia?

 Illyria Black

(Ok, hopefully this doesn't majorly suck, LOL! And I may add to it a bit later if something comes to me...)

Name: Illyria Black
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Species: Half human, half demon

Looks:
- Height: Approx. 5’3
- Weight: Let’s just say, she’s very thin…
- Hair: Black, waist length with green streaks
- Eyes: Emerald green
- General appearance: Rather pretty

Personality: Illyria is a rather odd girl, with a very twisted sense of humour and a strange love of the macabre. She is quite sarcastic at times, and likes to pull the occasional prank. She is quite smart really, but has never had too much motivation to excel in her studies. She can be rather quiet and anti-social but on the flipside is very mischievous and quirky, with quite a unique personality. She doesn't tend to follow any specific commercial trends (music and fashion), and loves pop culture. She also suffers from severe bouts of depression, using her talents in drawing to help herself cope.

Due to her “condition”, she has been known to suffer from violent, angry outbursts, but despite this, she's still a good person. She isn’t someone who could be described as “evil”.

Powers: Telekinesis is the main one, again brought on by her “condition”, but she also has a strong love of witchcraft.

Strengths: Physically, she is very good at martial arts – small and agile, rather strong. She is also an amazingly talented artist.

Weaknesses: Crippling depression, along with the condition she has been forced to endure. Although this could also be seen as something of a strength - but it isn't emotionally.

Class: n/a

Background: Illyria was an average girl from Hull (England), with an average life. Her parents were pretty darn average as well. Together they were fairly happy.

That was, until, Mr and Mrs Black were brutally murdered by a group of bloodthirsty demons. To make matters worse, Illyria saw the whole thing. Enraged by a terrible lust for revenge on the “monsters” responsible, Illyria sought help from an elderly woman who held strange mystical abilities. Only young at the time, at the tender age of 14, Illyria had no idea what she was getting herself into when the woman strapped her down and started chanting a strange incantation.

The next thing Illyria knew, she was waking up with a splitting headache and the woman had gone. In her place was the corpse of a demon who looked horrifyingly familiar… the type of demon that had killed her parents.

Illyria was terrified that A) the woman had been one of those demons, or B) she had been killed by one. Neither, however. The woman returned shortly after with a potion to cure the girl’s headache and had an explanation:

“Now you’ll have the same heightened abilities as the demons; the same strength, the same skill, and the same telekinetic powers… With these you’ll be able to track down the creatures that killed your parents and gain your revenge…”

Unfortunately along with this came the burden of no longer being a whole human, and the fact that she had now become the very thing she wanted to hunt.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Illyria decided that she didn’t want revenge anymore, that she’d over-reacted and had made a terrible, terrible mistake. But there was no going back. She was what she was. Half human, half demon. The demonic side was empowered, while the human side enabled her to retain exactly what it implied – her humanity.

With this new “condition”, Illyria fled from her home and tried to make a new one for herself, but was constantly hindered by her lack of control over her emotions. She started martial arts training in hopes it would help, and with her new telekinetic abilities, decided to train herself in witchcraft.

Now she’s looking for a world that will allow her to fit in…
